Sensor Equipped Hand Hygiene Detectors | | The Hyginex sensors and transmitters are placed on regular soap and hand sanitizer dispensers (provided by Hyginex) in the patients' rooms and throughout the hospital. The sensors interact via wireless connection with the bracelets to detect proper hand hygiene:
- Whether hands were washed after treating a patient and before treating a new one.
- The length of washing. Protocols differ in each establishment – but most refer to 15 seconds as a minimum.
